Independence

Research questions, source assessments, analysis and conclusions are determined under CRM’s published methodology. A funder, client or partner may not predetermine conclusions or require removal of evidence-based findings.

Editorial independence

Public research remains distinct from commercial, legal, media and advocacy activity.

Conflicts

Authors and reviewers disclose relationships that may affect, or appear to affect, judgment.

Funding transparency

Material projects should identify the nature of funding or commissioning.

Duty to courts

Expert work must be independent, objective and candid about contrary evidence and limitations.

CRM is responsible for design, analysis, citation and conclusions.

External report summaries

Findings belong to the original publisher; CRM is responsible for accurate summary and attribution.
