Evidence Status & Verification

Common labels let courts, lawyers, researchers and affected people see what CRM knows, how it knows it and what remains limited.

Received, not assessed

Registered but not assessed for provenance, content or authenticity; it must not be described as verified.

Source identified

The provider or public origin is known. This does not establish that the content is true.

Basic checks complete

Core date, location, file attributes or public-record consistency checks have been performed.

Corroborated

At least one independent source, original record or technical indicator supports the central claim.

Research-citable

Verification record, limitations, custody and citation data permit use in CRM research.

Reviewed for proceedings

Provenance, integrity, relevance, expert limits and disclosure have been reviewed for a defined procedure; admissibility remains for the court.

Status is not a truth score

Important material may remain at a lower state because of risk, privacy or technical constraints. A higher state does not require a court to admit it. Status changes with new evidence, contrary material or withdrawal.
